Question/comment received
Larry, I love your thoughts. I do have a question though? Why do we pray and are our prayers really answered?
Thank you for your kind words. Perhaps you were raised with a concept of prayer that was supplication to a God that needed to be convinced to come and do something, in spite of unworthiness or some such thing. Prayer, to my Unity way of thinking, is for the purpose of bringing ourselves into alignment with the Truth of our being, hence Unity teaches affirmative prayer.
This is a Universe based on vibrational energies that as we activate such within us and give it a direction, be it wholeness or illness, abundance or lack, harmony or discord, then becomes our vibrational signature that we offer to the Law of Consciousness, sometimes called the Law of Attraction, that draws into our experience like frequenced events, places, events and people.
This is prayer. We can't turn it on or off as we are always in process of thought. So, our process of participating in prayer doesn't necessarily begin with a "Dear God," and end with an "Amen." It can for those more structured moments of prayer, but our life as a whole is a constant offering of a direction to Law of Attraction that then fulfills it.
So, as we view our present lives, we are beholding answered prayer. If we don't like what we see or experience, begin a new story to feed into the Law of Consciousness...begin to tell it like we want it to be, not the way it presently is.
Thank you for your question, you are blessed!

Thanks, Larry. Your reply makes great sense to me. As a former Catholic it has been tough but enlightening for me to learn this new, logical way of thinking. Thanks for your response.
Larry,
I do believe that prayer is a constant stream of consciousness. I was honored to be at your church last Christmas season when my partner, Liz and her mother came. You greeted us that Sat. morning as we strolled around the grounds. Liz and I have since come back to Nashville after seeing some old friends there at Unity of Tucson. One of the things I best remember about your church there was the singing of the Peace Song. I love how your congregation owns the peace and statements by singing"Now". That is what Abraham is trying to get across to us after all anyway. Please, if you're so inclined to have stock in our Unity Church's new CD, visit our website at www.firstchurchunity.org The CD was produced by Liz Ficalora and she played drums and orchestrated all the string parts. I am featured on there as well. It is a blessing everyday to live in a community so full of creators (and in my favorite subject, music). I hope to visit your church again and I really enjoy your thoughts.
Vibe ON!
